Synergy is the Hong Kong and Asia distributor for Candy Kittens, the London brand that set out to make sweets for grown-ups – and ended up dragging the whole sweet aisle into the 21st century.
Candy Kittens make sweets the New Fashioned® way: plant powered and packed with flavour. No gelatine. No palm oil. No artificial colours or flavours. Just gourmet sweets made with plants and real fruit juice, with that ‘gimme more’ chew that most brands still get from animal gelatine.
The story
2012 – London-born Candy Kittens was founded by Jamie Laing and Ed Williams with a bold mission: to challenge a dated sweets industry and the big beasts that dominated the shelves. They saw an opportunity for better sweets, made for adults.
2014 – The first Candy Kittens sweet shop opened on the King’s Road, London, followed soon after by a launch into Selfridges.
2018 – After years of product development the entire range went vegan. Plants deliver that texture without animal gelatine – and with no compromise on taste.
2022 – Candy Kittens became the first B Corp certified sweets brand, scoring 86.5 against a pass mark of 80. Not perfect, but committed to doing things better – by the world, the team and you.
Why plants, not gelatine?
Meat in sweets? Nasty. Most gummy sweets get their chew from animal gelatine. Candy Kittens proved you can make an irresistible sweet with plants instead – and every bag sold keeps gelatine off the shelf. Every recipe is made with real fruit juice, is palm oil free, and uses natural colours from sources like black carrot, sweet potato and spirulina.

Good to know
Every Candy Kittens recipe is 100% vegan, gelatine free, palm oil free, made with real fruit juice and free from artificial colours and flavours. They are produced with a dairy and nut free recipe, but are packed in a factory that handles peanuts, nuts, sesame and milk. Bags are resealable – useful for the desk drawer, less useful for willpower.
